NAGAAA has a spot for you. By joining NAGAAA, you join 54 other cities; including over 1,000 teams and 17,000 LGBT athletes from all over North America. NAGAAA offers our member cities the chance to network and participate in competitive softball by sending their champions to the Gay Softball World Series (GSWS) each year. How long is the process for a new city to join NAGAAA?

Typically, it takes about 1 ½ years from the start of the process if a city meets all of the criteria to join NAGAAA for a city to attend the required 2 NAGAAA meetings until the start of their first Gay Softball World Series (GSWS) games.

Does NAGAAA dictate how their member city Association must run their local city leagues?

Absolutely not, NAGAAA encourages each of their member cities to manage and run their local leagues as they see best to maintain a competitive and welcoming atmosphere for their local members.

Is it expensive for a city to be a member of NAGAAA?

The annual membership fee for NAGAAA member cities is approximately $360 a year typically due in January or February at the NAGAAA Winter Meetings.

How many divisions of play are there in NAGAAA?

There are seven divisions of play in NAGAAA; ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘E’, ‘Masters C’ and ‘Masters D’. The Divisions of play are used in the GSWS, but do not necessarily need to be the same at the local league level.

How are players rated?

NAGAAA has a 28 point player skills rating system. Based on the answer to each of these 28 questions for each player, determines which division the player should start playing. The ratings apply to players attending the GSWS, but do not necessarily need to be followed at the local level.
